What’s special about this listing

This two-owner 1962 Ford Econoline cargo van was reportedly used as a delivery vehicle for an art gallery in dry New Mexico for approximately two decades beginning in the 1980s.

It was always garaged, and the dryness of the van indicates that it was lightly used, stored properly, and well-maintained.

It was acquired by the seller in 2023, and subsequent work included refreshing the brakes, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the tires, generator, and fuel pump.

Power comes from a 170ci inline-six linked with a three-speed manual transmission, while the body is finished in blue over blue upholstery. Additional details include 14″ steel wheels, West Coast-style mirrors, four awning-style aluminum windows, a heater, lap belts, hand-crank windows, and a Delco Super Deluxe AM radio. This Econoline van is has a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The van left the factory finished in Baffin Blue (F) and received a repaint under prior ownership. Exterior details include white-painted bumpers and round headlights with egg-crate surrounds, as well as West Coast-style mirrors, four awning-style aluminum windows, right-side cargo doors, and rear cargo doors with windows.

The original 14” steel wheels wear chrome Ford-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 205/75 Hankook Kinergy ST tires that were installed in 2023. The brake drums were machined and new shoes, brake lines, and master cylinder were replaced in 2023, per the seller. The brakes and clutch were adjusted in 2025.

The bucket seats are trimmed in blue vinyl, and additional interior elements include a heater, lap belts, hand-crank windows, and a Pontiac-branded Delco Super Deluxe AM radio.

A few tears are present in the seat material, and the sun visors and headliner are deteriorating.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and readouts for fuel level and engine temperature in addition to charging and oil pressure warning lights.

The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates 93,000 miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership. The fuel gauge and generator light are inoperative.

The 170ci inline-six engine is mounted under a cover between the bucket seats and was factory-rated at 101 horsepower. The carburetor was rebuilt, and the fuel pump, along with the filter and miscellaneous hoses, were replaced in September 2023. The generator was replaced in January 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, which shifts through the gears nicely.

This is a very dry and original condition van.
