1962 Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404.1

1962 Mercedes Benze “Unimog” mod. 404.1 in very good mechanically restored/ upgraded condition. Original Mercedes 300 Sedan 6 cyl., (engine “upper”) rebuilt with high compression head and cam, valves/ guided/seals replaced. Weber carburetor conversion to 38DGV (JAM fuel system engineering co.)., with “Red Line” fuel pressure regulator, military “hardened” electronic ignition system. New electronic distributor with “Petronix” igniter and a 24 volt Facelift fuel pump/ gauge.

24 volt electrical system (2 batts.), rebuilt fuel system, upgrade Continental tires (10.5 R 20). Rebuilt exhaust, suspension, brakes, timing chain, water / fuel pumps, Rebuilt electrical system with several exterior lighting options - from black out lights to fwd. auxiliary beams and triple reverse spotlights. Service to include engine oil/ filter, chassis lube, door locks/latches, hinges, transfer case 80/90 oil, front & rear differentials 80-90 oil, steering fluid, transmission fluid replaced. Brakes rebuilt, Canvas in VG cond.

6 speed trans with 2 Fwd “crawler” gears, 2 reverse gears. Portal axels providing high ground clearance. 2 WD , 4 WD, and lock drive options. TALON - SUPERWINCH 18,000 lb. winch mounted to the front of the truck. Lockable storage compartments . 2 fuel tanks with an 8 gallon reserve. Original tools mounted to the trucks frame.
