We have a stunning 1964 Ferrari 250 GTE series 3 available. The car was supplied from new in 1963 to the Milan based M.G. Crepaldi Automobili Ferrari dealership. A little later it received its first registration. This is a matching numbers Ferrari. The 250 GTE has recently been restored as well as mechanically completely overhauled by a brand expert. Remarkably the interior trim was in such good condition, that only refilling the seats and conditioning the leather were necessary. The car’s interior is so alluring. The rest of the car has been very well looked after. A Webasto Tudor sunroof was added at a certain moment, we believe this may have been during the restoration.

The bodywork looks stunning. The panelwork is nice and thin and correctly aligned. During the restoration the Ferrari’s bodywork was taken back to bare metal before being resprayed. The quality of the paintwork has held up extremely well, showing only few minimal signs of use. The Webasto Tudor sunroof functions perfectly, is a tight fit and is in very good condition. It almost provides an open-top driving sensation with the windows down and sunroof open, converting to a Targa effect with just the sunroof open. We think the previous owner made a great choice to carry out these modifications. The original Borrani wheels were re-chromed and shod in good quality, correctly sized tyres.

The car’s interior, as previously stated, has its original leather upholstery. The leather is nice and supple and looks great. During the restoration the carpets and headlining were replaced. The car still has its original steering wheel and instrument cluster. Overall the car’s interior is well maintained and functions as it should.

Mechanically after being overhauled the car has been maintained to a high degree. The engine runs wonderfully well and the gear change is crisp. Recently the suspension was replaced and the brakes have been correctly maintained. The car slows down as well as it builds up speed. The 250 GTE was the first Ferrari was able to build in numbers and driving the car now you really can appreciate why. At the time it seemed virtually impossible to find a better sportive Grand Tourer with a V12 and able to comfortably carry 4 people. The build quality was perfect, the engine an absolute master piece, good transmission and perfectly balanced suspension. What more could one wish for?

The car comes with a copy of the original manual. In other words this is a stunning and excellently maintained series 3 Ferrari 250 GTE with a wonderful large sunroof. Most definitely typically a car that you will only love more with every mile.
