1963 Porsche 356 Coupe

We are pleased to offer on behalf of one of our clients this beautiful 1963 (T6) Porsche 356 B Coupe.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected first grade examples of collectible automobiles. This S spec B-Coupe is one of those offerings!

History:
In late 1959, significant styling and technical refinements gave rise to the 356 B (a T5 body type). The mid-1962 356 B model was changed to the T6 body type (twin grilles on the engine compartment cover, an external fuel filler in the right front wing/fender and a larger rear window in the coupé). Porsche did not draw attention to these (quite visible) changes, initially keeping the same model designation.

This car:
Our car on offer is an S Coupe from 1963 finished in signal red over beige interior (originally slate grey over brown). It sold new at Competition Motors in Culver City, CA to Mr. and Mrs. Martin and they have kept this S Coupe for 32 years! The car was assigned California black plate JHF 383, which is still with the car today! It was then sold to their son Michael, who eventually commissioned a full restoration including a color change in 2003. The car was barely driven after the restoration and then stored until 2023, when the current owner and collector bought it.
Under current ownership, the car was mechanically sorted and fully serviced. This car runs and drives fantastic and the 75hp S engine gives a nice bump in horsepower over the standard model.

The restoration of this beautiful S Coupe is now over 20 years old and has held up remarkably well with a laser straight body showing only minimal imperfections. Door and panel fit is excellent, and the bright work is very nice and straight.
A beautiful car with a numbers matching S engine and mechanically fully sorted. No rust issues.

It comes with the original California black plates, full owner history and the original Kardex card.
