What’s special about this listing

This 1963 Triumph TR4 is a red-over-black example that was built in September 1962 and dispatched to San Francisco, California. The current owner purchased the car in 2016 from a friend who is said to have stored the vehicle in a garage for more than 30 years, and a rotisserie refurbishment was subsequently conducted.

The factory 2,138cc inline-four was revised with Weber carburetors, a TWM intake manifold, an aluminum radiator, and an Abarth exhaust system. The removable Surrey hardtop consists of both an alloy roof panel and a soft center section, and is noted to have been refreshed with paintwork, a replacement headliner, and rubber seals while the 15″ steel wheels were powder-coated and the hubcaps were fitted with replacement emblems. Equipment further includes a factory vinyl soft top, a four-speed manual transmission, Wilwood front disc brakes, and heated seats.
In August 2024, the distributor cap and ignition rotor were replaced, the fuel tank and carburetors were cleaned, and the valves were adjusted. This TR4 is offered on dealer consignment with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, an owner’s manual, refurbishment photos, records from current ownership, a tool kit, and a clean California title.
