We’re excited to offer this 1966 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle. This is a full frame-off Pro Touring build that was completed in 2023 by Revolution Speed Shop of Auburn, Washington. The car was reimagined from the ground up with modern performance, handling, and refinement while preserving the timeless Chevelle design. Since completion, approximately 1,986 miles have been added, as shown on the Dakota Digital VHX dash.
Power comes from a 427 cubic inch LS-based stroker V8 built with forged internals, Air Flow Research 215 heads, Brian Tooley Racing camshaft, LS7 lifters, pushrods, and valve springs, an Eagle rotating assembly, and ARP fasteners throughout. Induction is handled by a Holley Sniper low-rise intake manifold with a 102mm throttle body and hidden coils under script valve covers. Supporting components include a Holley oil pan, a Griffin dual-pass radiator with dual electric fans, an Eddie Motorsports serpentine system, and a Finch firewall bulkhead plate. Power delivery is through a brand new Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission paired with a hydraulic clutch conversion from Modern Driveline, sending power to a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73:1 limited-slip gears.
The chassis received a complete Pro Touring transformation. The frame was fully boxed, reinforced at stress points, and powder coated before final assembly. The front clip was custom fabricated to accept C6 Corvette spindles, upper and lower control arms, and a DSE rack-and-pinion steering setup. The rear was narrowed two inches and fitted with a 4-link suspension, Ridetech lower brackets and arms, QA1 upper links, Kevlar-lined R-joint ends, and a Ridetech MuscleBar rear sway bar. Custom front and rear sway bars were built to spec, while Ridetech coilovers handle damping at all four corners. Braking is handled by Kore3 C6 Corvette brakes, paired with a Wilwood hydroboost system, proportioning valve, and braided lines.
A full custom 3-inch stainless exhaust system was fabricated, featuring Speed Engineering headers, Magnaflow mufflers, and dual electric cutouts. A Drivelines Northwest aluminum driveshaft rated for 900 horsepower connects to the rear end.
The exterior was refinished in a custom metallic gray, with the bumpers tucked and all exposed hardware removed for a clean, seamless appearance. The chrome wheel well trim and side moldings were deleted, while all remaining trim was powder coated satin black for a cohesive look. The mirrors were sourced from Ringbrothers, and the door jamb cap plates are from Eddie Motorsports. All glass was replaced with lightly smoked tinted glass from Auto City Classics.
Inside, the cabin was completely stripped to bare metal, primed, and treated with KillMat for sound and heat insulation. Marks Custom Upholstery of Seattle created a full custom interior finished in black leather, including front and rear seats, matching door panels, and trunk trim. Wool square-weave carpets add a period-correct touch. A Vintage Air system provides modern climate control, while a retro-style radio powers a Kenwood speaker setup. The dash was wrapped in leather to match the cabin and fitted with a Dakota Digital VHX instrument cluster, Restomod Air billet circular vents, and a custom billet transmission trim ring.
In preparation for the next owner, we did a full fluid service. This included engine oil/ filter, fresh coolant, power steering, brake fluid, transmission, and differential fluids. Along with a new battery. Located at our Tacoma facility and available for viewing or inspection by appointment.
