John Woolfe commissioned Chevron founder Derek Bennett to build a competitive 3.0-litre Chevron coupé for the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans. Jack Brabham assisted him in sourcing original Formula One magnesium uprights, brakes, wheels, as well as the famous and extremely rare 3.0-litre Repco V8 engine.
Woolfe campaigned the car in 1968 at events including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 6 Hours of Brands Hatch, and the 1000 km Nürburgring race.
