1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Clone

INTRODUCTION: This Camaro deserves to be called a Yenko clone, not just a tribute. It is very authentic from the correct 427 and curved neck radiator to the spiral shocks and Stewart Warner gauges. With less than 20 miles on a nut and bolt restoration, it is fresh! Only 201 Yenko Camaros were made in 1969 and have recently been selling from a million to 1.8 million dollars! You can experience the same thrill at a small fraction of that cost with this car. EXTERIOR: The bold Yenko striping combined with Daytona Yellow paint makes this Camaro impossible to overlook. The cowl tag confirms code 76-76 Daytona Yellow upper and lower, and the paint has been buffed and polished to a smooth, high-gloss finish that highlights every body line. This southern car retains its original quarter panels and is impressively straight from the roof to the rockers. The body fitment is excellent, and during our inspection we found no signs of rust bubbles, damage, or problem areas. The functional cowl induction hood, front and rear spoilers, correct Yenko decals, and SYC emblems complete the aggressive appearance that made these cars legendary. Being a radiodelete car, there is no antenna interrupting the clean body lines. The chrome, moldings, emblems, grille, and door handles have been replaced. Even the glass has been replaced with correct reproduction pieces featuring the proper markings. The weatherstrips have also been replaced throughout. Putting the finishing touch on the car is a set of period correct Torque Thrust wheels featuring Yenko center caps and wrapped with Goodyear Polyglas reproduction tires. INTERIOR: Don Yenko built these cars to go fast, not impress people with luxury options. As a result, the interior is clean, purposeful, and focused on performance. From the carpet to the headliner, the interior has been restored to factory new with reproduction components. Most Yenko buyers often factored Stewart Warner instruments. This Camaro follows that tradition with a period correct Stewart Warner tachometer mounted on the steering column and a matching three gauge cluster beneath the dash. It also features a radio delete dash, another hallmark of a car built with performance in mind. Completing the interior are SYC (Super Yenko Camaro) stickers on the headrests. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Lift the hood and you'll quickly appreciate the level of detail that went into this build. At its heart is a genuine 1969 427 rated at 425 horsepower featuring the highly desirable 512 casting block with 1969 date code, correct rectangular port heads and aluminum intake, a Holley 780 carb, correct distributor and alternator. Correct details also include reproduction spark plug wires, correct deep groove pulleys, a Delco battery topper with spring clamp cables, and a cadmium plated power brake booster. It has a proper curved neck radiator along with reproduction hoses and clamps. The washer squirters are hooked up, the hood hinges are correct gray phosphate, the cowl induction is hooked up and functional. Everywhere you look, the attention to detail reinforces the authenticity of this Yenko clone. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and in the jamb, the Daytona Yellow paint is smooth and glossy. Inside is solid, dry metal finished with spatter paint. The weatherstrip has been replaced, and everything is presented neatly. UNDERSIDE: It underwent a nut and bolt restoration, meaning virtually every component was removed, restored, rebuilt, or replaced. The steering and suspension systems were completely rebuilt and detailed. It rides on correct big block springs, reproduction spiral shocks, and a COPO sway bar. The brake system has been completely restored with disc brakes in front and drums in back. The e-brake assembly, brake lines and hoses were replaced. The complete fuel system was replaced as well. A factory style exhaust system with the correct transverse muffler provides the authentic sound and appearance. Looking up at the drivetrain, everything is presented beautifully. The 427 is spotless in correct Chevy orange. The starter, fuel pump, and components all appear fresh. Power is delivered through a correct 1969 Muncie 4-speed transmission, a properly restored driveshaft, and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 3.55 gears. The original floors are exceptionally clean, finished in semi-gloss black with the proper yellow overspray. Assembly line markings were even reapplied- details that separates this one from the others. SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation.
