1969 Chevrolet G10 Van – Solid Project with Vintage Character

This is a first-generation 1969 Chevy G10 short wheelbase van — a classic example of Chevy’s early utility vans, and they're getting harder to find in restorable condition.

It’s powered by a straight 6-cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission (three-on-the-tree). The van runs, drives, and shifts properly. It does have a leak in the fuel tank just above the seam (half way up), so it hasn’t been driven much lately because of the leak, but the motor, clutch and transmission are strong.

The body is in decent shape for its age. There’s some rust, as you’d expect from a van of this vintage, but nothing catastrophic — it’s definitely a restorable body. There is a dent on the passenger side near the front right wheel well. It features double side doors on the passenger side and double rear doors, all of which open and close properly.

We originally bought it with plans to restore it as a vintage shop van (was planning going with dark red with shop name gold lettering) to use for deliveries and as a parked eye-catcher. Another business project has taken priority, so we’re passing it along to someone who has the time to bring it back to life.

I’ll be adding photos of the interior, engine bay, dash, and other details once I’m back in town. I’ll also confirm the mileage on the odometer at that time. The van has a clean title, a current tag, and is insured.

Overall, it’s a straight, uncut G10 with a ton of character — a great foundation for a retro camper, surf van, shop delivery vehicle, or classic showpiece.
