What’s special about this listing
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was modified and customized over the course of three years by Ironworks Speed & Kustom of Bakersfield, California. Records show approximately $600k in work was completed during the build. It is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 crate V8 linked with a Bowler Performance T56 six-speed manual gearbox, and the Speedtech Performance chassis has independent front and rear suspension with custom-valved coilovers, tubular control arms, rack-and-pinion steering, and manual Wilwood disc brakes.
The body is finished in black with white stripes and is equipped with carbon-fiber inner fenders and LED lighting, and the cabin is outfitted with Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital instrumentation, a custom console, a retro-look stereo, power windows, and black leather over carbon-fiber panels. Fabricated headers, a BTR camshaft, staggered-diameter Forgeline wheels, and a GearFX rear axle were also specified during the build.
