INTRODUCTION: Simply put, this is one of the finest examples of one of the most desirable muscle cars ever built! This genuine Hemi 'Cuda is a rotisserie restored car with outstanding fit and finish. It was born just how you see it, with these colors and options. It has also been personally inspected by Galen Govier, whose report is included. He stated the car has been restored to nearly the maximum condition possible- high praise from one of the most respected authorities in the Mopar world. EXTERIOR: Describing this exterior as like new doesn't quite do it justice. In many ways, it's better than new. The fit, finish, and attention to detail exceed what was possible on the assembly line in 1970. The body is absolutely pristine, with laser straight panels that fit square and flush throughout. Refinished in its factory Rallye Red color, the paint has a deep, glasslike shine that is simply stunning. Adding to its aggressive appearance are the factory Hemi hockey stick stripes, which are documented on the fender tag, along with the iconic Shaker hood complete with racing pins. This car was also born with one of the most desirable options available: elastomeric body colored front and rear bumpers. Another feature is the factory road lamps. The rear tail panel and grille are in outstanding condition, while all of the chrome and trim is straight, bright, and beautifully polished. The glass is crystal clear, the weatherstrips have been replaced, and it sits proudly on Rallye wheels wrapped with reproduction 15-inch Goodyear Polyglas tires, completing the authentic muscle car stance. INTERIOR: The interior is just as impressive as the rest of the car and presents like new. The floor is protected by embroidered mats, and the center console is in excellent condition, featuring the iconic Slap Stik shifter. The seats have been professionally recushioned and upholstered, while the door panels and all of the interior plastic trim remain in outstanding shape. The dash pad is mint, and the Rallye instrument cluster is beautifully preserved, complete with the full set of factory gauges and a quartz movement clock. The original AM radio remains in place, and just beneath it is the distinctive red lever that opens the fresh-air Grabber hood system. The deluxe steering wheel features the desirable rim-blow horn, adding yet another authentic touch. Above, the headliner fits beautifully with no wrinkles, the visors are excellent including the locking ignition instruction tag. A complete set of seat belts is also in place, rounding out this exceptionally detailed interior. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Let's address the elephant under the hood! In this case, that's quite literal. Nestled between the fenders is the legendary 426 Hemi, affectionately known as the Elephant Motor. This is the correct date matched 426 Hemi with the proper casting numbers, and restamped VIN #, producing a factory rated 425 horsepower. It is equipped with the iconic dual four barrel carburetor setup, crinkle finish valve covers, reproduction spark plug wires, and the highly desirable Shaker hood Ram Air system. Every component, and detail is clean and proper. It features power steering and power brakes, along with reproduction hoses, correct clamps, a Mopar radiator, functioning washer system, and the factory horns in place. The original fender tag remains intact, and both hidden VIN stampings are present on the core support and cowl, providing further evidence of this car's authenticity and meticulous restoration. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is restored to the same exacting standards as the rest of the car. The underside of the deck lid, jambs, and entire trunk interior are finished in beautiful, glossy Rallye Red paint. It is complete with the collapsible spare tire, including the original Chrysler air bottle, along with the complete jack assembly and lug wrench. Every single component has been restored and detailed to an exceptional level. UNDERSIDE: lt is every bit as impressive as the top side thanks to a meticulous rotisserie restoration. The floors and frame rails are absolutely pristine and finished in the same glossy Rallye Red as the exterior. Every component underneath has either been restored or replaced, right down to the smallest nuts, bolts, and even the rubber floor grommets. The attention to detail is exceptional. It features a factory correct exhaust system complete with Mopar Pentastar stamped mufflers, resonators in the tailpipes, and the correct square exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The fuel system has been completely replaced from the tank forward, while the brake system has been thoroughly rebuilt with front disc brakes, new lines, and replacement emergency brake components. The steering and suspension have been fully restored and detailed to show quality standards. Looking up at the engine reveals the same level of excellence found throughout the car. The block displays the correct casting numbers and date codes and carries a restamped matching VIN. Power is routed through a 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission to the highly desirable Special Performance Axle Package, featuring a heavy-duty Dana rear end equipped with 4.10 Sure Grip gears.
