For sale is a restored 1974 VW Thing. The restorations were done by The Thing Shop in Chandler, AZ. The interior features a custom light blue and white interior with a coordinating “Acapulco Blue” exterior with flat black stripes and custom pinstriping. When it was restored, a fresh 1800cc Dual Port motor was installed and there are under 1000 miles on the new motor. The odometer reads 7563 miles, so that is what the chassis has on it, but does not correlate with the new engines miles. New items as of restoration included new Paint and Interior, new Top and Windows, new Wheels and Dunlop tires, new CD player with 4 Speakers, new Bosch Alternator, new CB Performance Oil Cooling Housing, new Front Bilstein Shocks, new Rear Adjustable Shocks, Chrome Fan Shroud, EMPI Aluminum Valve Covers, and S&S Header Pack Exhaust. Vehicle is still rust free, there are some imperfections in the paint now and they are pictured. All lights work, wipers do not.
