1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82

This highly original 1978 Corvette has been owned by the same family since 1985 and is currently stewarded by the grandson of the original owner, located in Hamilton, OH. The car is said to still wear its original black paint and remains in stock condition. The 350ci V8 (L82) engine powering the vehicle is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission, which delivers its power through a Positraction rear differential. The L82 package also offers a stiffer factory-installed suspension. In addition, the car was fitted with a 24-gallon fuel tank for long-distance grand touring. A vehicle inspection was conducted, and found chips on the paint on the front of the vehicle. Some light scratches are present on the bumpers, and some corrosion is also present on the rims and beneath the car. The exterior of the car was rated at a 3.6 out of 5. About the model

The third generation (C3) Corvette was produced from 1967 to 1982. Chevy offered both T-Top and convertible body styles of the C3. The T-top models are considered coupes by some. In 1978, the Corvette got a few extras like a dual snorkel air intake, an aluminum intake manifold, and a 24-gallon gas tank. The L82 package was an added $525 in 1978. In 1979, Corvette reached a pinnacle when 53,807 cars were produced, the most in the company's history.
