1979 Lincoln Mark V

This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V was initially delivered to Pete Shaver Lincoln Mercury of Calumet City, Illinois, and it now shows 20k miles. This Mark V is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a build sheet, service records since 2010, shop manuals, a set of wheel covers, and a clean Florida title.

Finished in Wedgewood Blue with a matching vinyl landau roof over blue cloth upholstery, the car is powered by a 400ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a power sunroof, opera windows, and automatic headlights with retractable covers as well as automatic climate control, power-adjustable lounge front seats, power windows, and a Ford Quadrasonic AM/FM stereo with an eight-track player. The car is finished in Wedgewood Blue (34) with a matching vinyl Landau roof. Features include a power sunroof, fender vents, opera windows, and automatic headlights with retractable covers along with a chrome grille, bumpers, and mirror caps. The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and frames an 85-mph speedometer, a Cartier-branded clock, an optional digital miles-to-empty indicator, and a fuel-level gauge. The 400ci V8 is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and was rated at 159 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.

The 15″ forged aluminum wheels are mounted with 225/75 Mastercraft Radial A/S IV thin-whitewall tires with 2010 date codes. The right door and a portion of the right-rear quarter panel are said to have been repainted. Cracks on the door trim are pictured in the gallery and the seller notes that the speakers are blown. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
