1981 Audi Quattro

Biarritz Sports And Classic Cars (Bscc) is pleased to present this Audi Ur-Quattro.
The Ur-Quattro (pronounced "Our" for original in German) is one of the legendary cars of the 80s.
This 2+2 coupé was powered by Audi's famous turbocharged 5-cylinder engine developing 200hp. Quattro all-wheel drive was born with this car.
These early models, recognizable by their 4-lamp grille (yellow for France), had differential adjustment controls accessible via 1 knob on the center console.
The car was incredibly comfortable for its time, and the quality of the materials chosen would make many of today's models pale in comparison.

With a production run of just over 11,000 examples, it is now quite difficult to find one in original condition.

Performance is spot on, with 0-100 in 6.5s. For the record, the Porsche 911 3.0SC had the same performance and a Golf GTI was at 9.5s...

This car was delivered new in France and has only had 4 owners, the last since 2010. It’s got a rare leather interior as an original option.

Behind the wheel, The Audi Quattro gives a first impression of a rather sedate coupé.. The sound of the engine is discreet, the suspension very comfortable, the steering easy to handle, and yet ... this is indeed a sporty coupé, with acceleration above 3,000 rpm and the discreet whistle of the turbo. Handling is, of course, impeccable.

This is definitely a collector's item from the '80s.
