About this 1983 Ford Mustang GLX

VIN: 1FABP27F0DF1730004

I purchased the "Stang" in 1987 when I was in the Navy. In Brewer Maine. As soon as I saw it I knew it was MINE! I was looking out over the woods where these folks parked their cars. I said I'll take that red one over there and put a hundred bucks down. He asked if I wanted to drive it. I said no. I'll be back to pick her up next week. It was used with 30k or so miles, and a crappy replacement clutch. First thing I had it rust proofed and undercoated.
In my travels I replaced the clutch with a steel racing clutch in South Carolina. Guaranteed "girl proof"! I painted it, replaced the vinyl roof (Glass Window btw), upgraded the exhaust, and replaced the dashboard twice! I drove it as my daily driver for a very short time and then had it garaged up on blocks for 10 years when I had a Company Car. I got downsized, and Then I bought a new PT Cruiser, and pretty much drove that and other cars, with the Mustang on and off the road. I had it parked outside at a friends garage, and the paint faded out, the clearcoat now gone on the hood and trunk. I did upgrade the radio to one with a removable faceplate so I could leave the top down. I replaced the antenna with s dual purpose one to hook up my CB radio when that was a thing. I liked to be stealth!
Two years ago I purchased a toyhauler travel trailer and have an F-350 to haul it. I am retired now and don't have much time for my little red beauty. My back has been repaired and she is a stiff ride. I'll sell it for my price, or maybe not. I was thinking of reviving her again. Guess I will just see what happens! I have enjoyed the hell out of her and am sad to see her under a sealskin cover in the driveway. The tires have great tread but are a few years old.

Let my know if you are interested. If she sells I know she will be in good hands. If not, maybe she'll be a Cape Cod Summer Car. I'll just wait and see where the road goes!!

P.S. 7,500 is what I paid for her ;-).
