1983 GMC Sierra Classic – Vintage Utility with Character and Care 📍 Kansas City, MO
A true survivor with soul — this long-bed Sierra Classic has been in my care for 16 years. Lightly used for yard hauling, regularly maintained, and protected inside and out. With only two owners and approximately 114,000 original miles, it's a testament to GMC's vintage reliability.
📌 Features & History
Rust-free long bed, protected by camper shell and plywood cover
Professionally rust-proofed in the 1980s (receipt included)
New battery (2024)
Brake system upgrades: proportioning valve, premium caliper (right front), brake hose, and master cylinder replaced (receipt dated 5/2/2011)
Transmission rear seal replaced (owner-performed, ~2010–2013)
Suspension history: left and right lower ball joints replaced by original owner (receipt dated 1993)
2WD, sits right, rides smooth
Fair body with straight bumpers
Good tires, velour bench seat with wear, cracked dash typical for the model
Tailpipe bent during old tire blowout — gives a deeper growl to muffler
Rear quarter panel rolled slightly inward, same incident (cosmetic only)
One camper shell window missing, shell still protects bed well
💬 "Starts easy, drives strong, and carries the kind of character only time can build."
💵 Asking Price: $14,897 OBO Based on Classic.com's valuation for well-maintained models. Open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
📎 Clean Missouri title in hand.
