1984 Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 Aerodinamica

This 1984 Spider Veloce was built in January of 1984 and sold by Alfa Romeo of Tacoma in May of 1984 to a Dr. Klein of Mercer Island, WA. The exterior is finished in rarely seen Nero Metallico over Dark Tan leather, beige carpets, and a black soft top. The 1984 and 85 model year cars still retained the classic dash layout of two large binnacles housing the speedometer and tach behind the large wood rim steering wheel and had the 3 auxiliary gauges for fuel, oil pressure, and water temp, angled towards the driver in the center of the dash. Other features included intermittent wipers, digital quartz clock, power mirrors, 14-inch Campagnolo Daytona alloy wheels, bronze tinted glass, courtesy lighting in the glovebox, rear view mirror, trunk, and under hood, plus a fully carpeted cargo area and trunk.

The 2nd owner, a long time NW Alfa Romeo club member, purchased the car in January of 1985 with 5928 miles from Alfa Romeo of Tacoma and kept the car until June of 2022. Over the years the car was pampered, serviced regularly, and maintained by Alfa dealers and specialists. Some tasteful modifications were installed like factory Carello headlamp covers, oil pan sump guard, JVC CD stereo with Polk Audio speakers, removable lexan wind blocker, leg extender accelerator pedal, trunk lid strut kit, and black Alfa logo floor mats. In 1999 at around 41k miles the engine received a valve job by Paquale Perrina of Bellevue Alfa Romeo which was the only major engine repair needed in the lifespan of the car. In 2005 the car received a full quality respray in its original color and the nose panel was repaired due to a minor parking lot dent. The original clutch was replaced in 2009 at 73k miles and the seats were had new foam and were recovered in factory leather. The transmission was rebuilt and a poly bushing suspension kit was installed in 2011 at 80k miles.

The current owner, also a longtime NW Alfa Romeo Club member, purchased the Spider in June of 2022 with 92k miles and the car was moved to Palm Desert, CA where it has been enjoyed on club tours, outings, and taken to local car shows. Upon receiving the car back in WA in February of 2025 we have just changed the oil, replaced the air filter, and installed new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. This Spider drives excellent and is ready to be enjoyed by the next custodian. Included with he car are full service records from new, original bill of sale, original owner's books, tool kit, full size spare wheel/tire, 2 sets of keys, soft top boot, original sales brochures, advertisements, and magazine articles pertaining to Alfa Romeo Spiders.
