What’s special about this listing

Details

This 1984 Chevrolet Blazer Silverado has been cared for by the current owner in Texas for the past 37 years. It's powered by a 5.0L V8 engine driving all four wheels through an automatic transmission and part-time 4WD system. Finished in the original white and beige paint with a tan cloth interior, this Blazer is equipped with air conditioning and a tow hitch receiver. Modifications include the addition of Nerf bar side steps and two sets of bumper-mounted fog lights. The odometer shows 30,652 and the seller notes that it rolled over once which is supported by a 1998 reference in the clean CarFax report. A western truck, it spent most of its life in Texas with the seller and is currently located in Amarillo.

This Blazer has been photographed and inspected by a third party to verify the condition. Overall, the vehicle shows some wear and tear that's to be expected of an original vehicle of this age. The paint shows various scratches and chips and the interior shows light wear on the seats, door panels, and carpets. The inspection notes rust on the rocker under the driver's door. A video of the engine running shows its smooth operation and other mechanical features operate as they were designed. The sale includes two sets of keys, the original owner's manual, and a car cover.

About the model

The second generation of Chevrolet K5 Blazer was introduced for the 1973 model year. This new generation of K5 Blazer saw large updates to the model, both mechanically and stylistically. Although the model had been produced exclusively as a convertible short bed pickup fitted with a hardtop, from 1976 onwards, the K5 Blazer featured a half-cab design implemented in part to increase safety. As the second generation was in production for nineteen years, a wide range of gasoline engines were available, including inline six and V8 units; a 6.2L diesel V8 was also offered. Production of the second-generation Blazer lasted until 1991 when it was replaced by the Third Generation Chevrolet Blazer.
