I have enjoyed the mighty Scrambler but am selling this great running and great looking Jeep. I purchased my 1984 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler in 2023 from a dealer in Kansas. The body and frame were in good shape but the engine ran badly. I have put 5500 miles on the vehicle over the past 2 years. Since purchasing the vehicle I have:
1. replaced the engine with a rebuilt Jasper 4.2L IL6 which is still under warranty for another year (Sept 2026)
2. rebuilt the transmission and replaced the clutch linkage
3. installed an aftermarket AC and Warn VR EVO winch
4. replaced the steering kit, drive shaft U joint, shackle bushings and sway bars
5. paint stripped, rust identified and remediated, new paint job with original color scheme to include model appropriate stickers and the vehicle was treated with rust inhibitor
6. Scrambler is kept inside in an airconditioned space
Although modified as above, I attempted to keep the vehicle as close to original as possible.
