1985 Toyota Pickup Xtracab

4x4, 5-speed. This truck has 206,341 miles on odometer, but less than 22,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. My friend Dan bought a 1985 2-WD in 1985. He had the engine rebuilt 06/09/2005. This truck was stolen on 03/26/2006 and recovered two days later. DMV considered it a salvaged vehicle when he got it back. I purchased the truck from him April/May 2006 to use as a spare vehicle. In early 2015 an acquaintance had a tan colored 1985 4-WD Toyota with a blown engine for sale. I bought his truck and had my local mechanic put the good engine from my old truck into the 4-WD truck. This was our third vehicle, used to explore back roads but mainly used when one of our other vehicles was in the shop. At this time the truck has 206,341 miles on the odometer, but the engine has less than 20,000 miles of use. I did regular oil changes approximately every 3,000 miles, maintenance includes new windshield in 12/24, new starter 11/21, new tires 6/21 (have 1,284 miles), speedometer repair 8/15.
