No need to bore prospective buyers with what this motorcycle is and the part it played in the history and significance of Ducati . No need to state how rare and collectable this model has become [39 years] . To the best of my knowledge this F1 was sold at Myers Ducati in Asheville NC . I do not know of the 1st owner and any owners prior to me acquiring it from Rob. Griffin 03-29-96 with 14500 km on the odometer . Subsequently I just put 750 km on it in 29 years . Time passes quickly and I was always very motivated to keep her in top condition . Periodically I would remove the sparkplugs and turn the motor over until the oil pressure was established before running the engine for a few minutes . I changed fluids and tires and belts as indicated in the owners manual log . This includes fork seals and oil , camshaft belts , steering head bearings , swingarm bearings , pet cokes , ignition coils and wires and more .All the removed parts are coming with the sale [photo] as well as the owners manual , copy of the workshop manual and a cowling for converting to a 2-up [sozius] bike F1A - F1B . I planned on attending vintage bike racing but time and a growing Family got in the way . I enjoyed owning and having her in my garage for all these years [used to own a Mike Hailwood Replica 900 in the past] but it is now time to let her go to another good place and I would be happy for someone else to care and enjoy her as I did . I encourage to inspect the bike in person and I will assist in preparing for shipping but buyer will have to make arrangements for transport . Payment must be cleared before release of the bike . Sale includes the bike , seat fairing with pillion and some spares and removed original parts . Bike has center and side stand installed .
