1986 Porsche 944 Turbo

Attention Porsche transaxle fans! Here is a super fun 944 Turbo that has been modified for track use. This 1986 model year 944 is a factory Turbo that was modified in 2007-2009 into a race car for the owners of World Motors of Scottsdale, AZ. The engine was said to have been rebuilt and a later K26-8 turbo fitted and other mods include: Rouge Engineering Stage III clutch, new windshield, lexan fixed rear window, Step headers, Sparco driver seat and 6pt harness, Sparco quick-release suede steering wheel and Sparco shift knob, Porterfield brake pads, cross-drilled brake rotors, stainless lines, 18-inch 996 Turbo Twist wheels with H&R spacers, 3-inch exhaust pipe, bigger sway bars, adjustable strut tower bar, aluminum intercooler, Lindsey Racing air box, silicone hoses, adjustable Koni shocks, full roll cage, battery kill switch, push-button start, custom white Autometer “Phantom” gauge cluster, Sparco fire extinguisher, and a one-piece front clamshell bonnet. The entire car was painted white and the interior was sprayed in a white texture finish. The sunroof was deleted as were the front lamps, wipers, interior, dash, and HVAC etc.

The car was put into storage after 2011 and then upon acquisition in 2025, a comprehensive service was performed in February including: oil change, fuel system flush, new Bosch fuel pump, coolant change, brake fluid/clutch fluid change, timing belt/tensioners replaced, water pump/T-stat replaced, all V-belts replaced, coolant hoses replaced as needed, new spark plugs, new distributor cap/rotor, and new Yokohama Advan Neova A009 tires 245/35/18 up front and 285/30/18 in the rear have been installed. A full Martini livery has just been installed and really elevates the look of the iconic 1980s 944 shape. This Porsche is ready for the new owner to further develop the car and then take it to the track for some turbocharged-transaxle fun!
