1987 Toyota Corolla Deluxe

This 1987 Toyota Corolla was made in Japan, not at the US based NUMI plant.
It was apparently owned by a senior for most of its life, and the body reflects that in an almost new state, with no rust or significant body damage or body repair. The interior is as nice as the exterior, although the photos tend to be a bit fuzzy. A brand new Sony radio is fitted into the place of the original radio, which was non functional, but is still available with the car.
The car was purchased by a younger person who attempted some repairs which resulted in ruining the engine, the cooling system, and brakes. The car now has a clean Washington State title, but has received substantial mechanical renovation, restoring it to original state. The engine, radiator, and brakes. Hankook Kinergy, premium all season radial tires, are all new. The engine was purchased from Quality Auto parts and sold as a 72 K original engine, not a rebuild. There are new McPherson struts on all four corners. The automatic transmission was serviced with fluid replacement and a new filter. The engine has received new NGK spark plugs, wires and hoses and belts. The interior and exterior paint are original, and are in great shape considering the age of the vehicle. The car has been cleaned but not detailed. The 1.6 cc engine runs well, has an automatic, non electric choke, factory original. It has had limited driving since renovation, and has not been taken on any long trips or driven over 50 mph.
The purpose is to market this rare survivor of this year and body style to a person who will appreciate what it is, not as a cheap transportation car. It seems to attract the attention of persons who remember when these cars were new and common place, very functional compacts cars, with a quality Toyota build. The seller reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone, with the intent of passing it on to a responsible purchaser. The car will be sold as is, with no refund or warranty of any kind. Every attempt has been made to describe the vehicle accurately. The car is nearly 40 years old, and as such, is likely to have quirks and should not be expected to drive like a brand new car.
The seller had all renovations and repairs performed by a professional mechanic in a local mechanic shop. The seller is a senior in need of reducing his number of cars, but is in no hurry to sell, and is not selling on a hardship basis.
