This 1989 Spider was built December of 1988 in the Quadrifoglio trim level and first sold to the California area. The car has been in WA State since 1995 and the current owner purchased the car in June of 1999 with 65,000 miles from Bellevue Alfa Romeo and the car has lived in the dry climate of Eastern WA ever since. The exterior is finished in Nero (Black) over Grey leather trim, red stitching, red carpets, and black canvas soft top that was standard to all Quadrifoglio models. The car has its color matched, Pininfarina designed, removable hard top, black vinyl tonneau boot with red stitching, and 15-inch phone dial alloy wheels with colored center caps. The standard options include; reclining sport bucket seats, power windows, rear fog lamps, lighted passenger vanity mirror, Alfa branded Clarion am/fm radio cassette with 4 speakers, power antenna, digital clock, leather wrapped steering wheel, intermittent wipers, power mirrors, and full red carpeting in the trunk area. Service records from 1999 to current accompanys the car. Today the car has 86,678 miles and shows nicely both inside and out. The paint is in good condition with a few chips and 2 defect cracks on the hood and nose section. There are some light scratches, and nicks consistent with the age. Some paintwork has been done over the years to various panels. The dash has one small by the center vents, the carpets are in good shape with no holes, fading, or heavy soiling. The leather seats are still very nice and aside from minimal driver bolster wear are in remarkable condition, something of a rare find in these cars as most had the interiors exposed to harsh sunlight and heat for long periods of time. The original Clarion Alfa Romeo radio and cassette player function well, and looks very cool in a period 80's tech fashion. The removable hard top is in great shape and complete with all brackets and side covers. There is a nice aluminum stand with caster wheels, and cover for the top when it is off the car. In July of 2025 Vintage Racing Motors of Redmond performed the following work to ready the Spider for sale including; engine upper end valve job, new clutch and master cylinders, new battery, oil change, and a rebuilt airflow meter was fitted. In June of 2025, 4 new Pirelli P4 tires have been installed. The car also has a chassis stiffener kit, KYB shocks, Ansa rear muffler, upgraded H4 headlamps, and Alfa logo floor mats. The radiator was replaced in 2008. In 2004 at 74,000 miles the transmission was rebuilt and a new clutch kit was installed along with a new oil pump, motor mounts, The Spider includes its tool kit, jack, spare wheel with a new tire installed, owner manual/radio manual copies, shop manual, soft top tonneau boot, and a fitted red indoor car cover.
The Quadrifoglio is a joy to drive on the road and brings back motoring pleasure in the form of classic top down driving, great Italian looks, and racing pedigree that cannot be replaced. This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a darling of a sports car with good upside in the future and like a fine wine, will only continue to grow even more beautiful as time passes. These cars represent the end of an era for the stylish, 2 seater, Pininfarina designed Italian roadsters of an all analog driving experience.
