1989 Audi 200 Quattro

[Correction to basic listing: This car is LHD Audi 200 Turbo Quatro 5cy 10V sedan] I bought it used from a private owner in Boulder many years ago and restored it to excellent mechanical condition for general use. It replaced our Audi 5000 which unfortunately caught fire due to faulty wiring and flamable steering fluid (something to watch on all these models). The car drives extremely well but has been sitting in our garage for several years unused. It needs attention in several areas to be properly restored. It was last registered until August 2025. Runs fine but needs a tune up. No known leaks. Radiator is good and keeps stable temperature. Turbo was replaced (from the 5000) - good acceleration. There is a noticeable "clunk" when shifting from reverse to forward which has been there for decades with no consequence, so I figured it's a characteristic of this model and the automatic center diff they used to replace the manual one in the earlier 5000 model -- but I'm not sure. I replaced the steering rack and pump because overpressure blew seals. New Blaupunkt vintage style radio to replace the original - no original radio likely works now because they used a plastic mechanism in the push buttons that degrades and breaks with time. This has CD and aux input. It needs its own power line (simple matter but I haven't done it yet). Excellent in snow, of course. Extra set of wheels to run snows vs road. The predecessor to this car (5000) was written up in Road and Track at the time as "the most capable car on the planet". Its great on the highway. There may be some electrical issues (always with these cars). In all, I think a good candidate for restoration.
