1992 VW GTI 16V 2.0L California "Driveway Find" Project.. Last year of MK2 in US
I've owned the GTI in San Diego for 25 years and it's been under a cover for 20 years. Will need full tune-up and fresh gas.. Brakes are most likely stuck from sitting in place and surface rust. Last driven / had it running about 8 years ago but there was nothing mechanically seized or broken at the time of storage. The car was aways fast, fun and reliable! Suspension swapped in 2000 & 16" Hockenheim wheels. Otherwise, it's stock.
The driver side exterior door panel, rear quarter panel, and panel under the windshield will need to be replaced /fixed due to rust. The passenger side of the car is basically rust free.
The interior and Recaro seats are in excellent shape. There are a couple thin cracks over the instrument cluster/ dash.
I have 1 key /original and clean title. I have the interior plastic panel cover for hatch and cargo cover.
