Details

As one of Japan's powerful sports car options, this 1995 Nissan GTR (R33) awaits its new owner in California after being slightly modified. Powering the GTR is the famous 2.6L twin-turbo I6 RB26DETT engine. The car was updated with a Trust Gracer Airinx system that works with the twin-turbos to make 12 psi of boost. The car is also fitted with a front-mounted intercooler and exhales through a Fujitsubo exhaust. Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and 4.11:1 axle ratios. Other modifications include Cusco coil-over springs and Enkei aftermarket rims, forging this four-wheel-steering machine firmly to the road. The third-party inspection report found that the car's drivetrain is strong and there are no issues with the transmission. Slotted brake rotors are found in the front, and the braking system checked out in good working condition.

The exterior of the car presents well, commensurate with the age of the vehicle. An aftermarket Top Secret G-Force front bumper was added to the car. The shut lines have appropriate spacing, but the buyer should note some spots of surface rust and imperfections in the paint that are documented in the photos. The right-hand-drive interior mirrors the outside in condition. The car is appropriately aged based on the mileage. Light wear on the seats, a quarter-sized hole in the dash, and an inoperable radio are all signs of the cars age. The inspectors report also lists the rear tires as low on tread and in need of replacement. The car comes with a clean California title in the sellers name, which takes the hassle out of importing one of these unique vehicles yourself.

About the Model

First appearing in 1995, the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R-33) was a performance variant of the Skyline. It was the successor to the R32 GT-R or third-generation GT-R. The R33 was similar with its front-engine AWD layout and familiar twin-turbo inline-six RB26DETT engine, with minor updates. The fourth generation GT-R was also given the HICAS four-wheel steering system. Not sold in the U.S., the R33 has become a popular import after reaching the 25-year mark, thus skirting FMVSS regulations. Only 16,660 examples of this GT-R were produced.
