After 20 years of ownership, I am passing on my 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL500 (R129), a true modern classic. I am only the third owner, purchasing it with $41,775 miles on it at the time. It has been very well maintained throughout my ownership.

The car is in excellent mechanical condition and the exterior is pristine. The car has never seen a winter during my time. The interior is almost spotless other than a little rubbing on the drivers front seat from the way I slid into the car over the years.

There is a brand new Soft Top and the R&R cylinders have recently been replaced for the top retraction. I have put new wheels on the car, as well as new tires 10,000 or so miles ago. The transmission has also been rebuilt. See the CarFax report attached for details.

The car runs and drives well. The only issue currently that I have never addressed was the power steering wheel adjustment - it moves in and out but not up and down.

I can recommend a transportation company if needed and help coordinate things if necessary.
