This 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 is a two-owner truck with well-documented provenance. It was originally built on April 28, 1999, and delivered by Land Rover España SLU to a small municipality in the Andalusia region of southern Spain. In 2002, the second owner, Mr. Alvarez, purchased the vehicle and kept it in Jaén, Spain, where it remained until I acquired it in 2024.
The exterior of this Defender is finished in its original Chawton White paint and presents exceptionally well. While it shows a few minor dings and scratches consistent with its age, the overall appearance is remarkably clean. The chassis is immaculate, featuring the original rear crossmember with no prior repairs, and there is no rust or corrosion anywhere on the frame, bulkhead, or body panels. It rides on original Land Rover steel wheels fitted with brand new BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires.
Inside, the vehicle retains its original Techno Twill upholstery, which is in very good condition apart from a tear on the driver's seat bottom. The interior has been tastefully refreshed with a new center cubby box, a new steering wheel, and new floor mats, all of which complement the Defender’s original charm.
Mechanically, this TD5-powered Defender is in excellent condition and has been meticulously maintained. The engine delivers strong, reliable performance with a smooth and usable driving experience that is a clear improvement over the earlier 300Tdi models. A new battery has been installed, and a recent oil change ensures it's ready to go.
What makes this truck particularly special is how original and unmodified it remains—a rarity among Defenders in today’s market. It is sold with a clean Texas title, a clean CarFax report, a Land Rover Heritage Certificate, and a copy of its ITV (Inspección Técnica de Vehículos) showing consistent annual safety inspections from new.
If you’re looking for a classic Defender that combines originality, usability, and a rust-free chassis, this example stands out as one of the good ones.
