About the model

The second generation of Lexus LX was introduced for the 1998 model year. Known as the J100, the second generation LX was based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series. The J100 was offered with only one variant, the LX 470, which was fitted with a 4.7L V8 engine that sent drive to all four wheels via a 4or 5-speed automatic transmission. Built until 2007, the LX470 was replaced by the third-generation Lexus LX570 for the 2008 model year.
