What’s special about this listing

2003 Mercedes-Benz 230 SLK Roadster (R170)*
2.3 L 194 HP EFI Supercharged 4-Cyl. Engine
5-speed "Touch Shift" Automatic Transmission
VIN: WDBKK49FX3F292094
40,515 Miles
The R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is the first generation of the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class range of compact luxury roadsters manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 1996 until 2004,[2] using a shortened variant of the W202 Mercedes C-Class platform. The SLK nameplate derives from roadster's design ethos: to be sportlich (sporty), leicht (light) and kurz (compact). It was sold in North America for the 1996–2004 model years. It will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds.
Finished in Brilliant Silver with a Charcoal Leather interior, this is a low mileage, one owner car (purchased in July, 2003 from Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor, MI), that has been well maintained and cared for since new, and is in excellent condition in all respects.
This SLK features a folding metal electro-hydraulic roof (dubbed “vario-roof'”by Mercedes), that takes 25 seconds to operate. Equipment includes power windows, power steering, dual-zone climate control, dimmable interior mirror, a 6-speaker Bose sound system with Dual Subwoofers and alloy wheels. Safety features include front and side driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and more. Options include Xenon headlamps with washers, heated seats, a Mercedes sound system with a trunk-mounted 6-CD changer. Tires were replaced in 2020 with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+, at 34,678 miles.
Disclosures: There is a small (no paint break) dent on the hood, and a small in the front fascia. Its Carfax report (available on request) includes 26 service history records, 49 detailed records available, and notes only one “minor damage” incident (properly repaired, with documentation) in its 23 years of ownership.
Included are three key fobs, the original window sticker, and all records & receipts from new. This retractable hardtop sporty two seater convertible is a lot of car for not a lot of money - whose looks, condition and low mileage belie its age. Tis the season for top-down motoring, and it is ready for its new owner to enjoy miles of smiles.
