Details
This 2005 Ferrari 575 Superamerica is one of just 559 produced and is powered by a V12 engine that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with F1-style paddle shifters that sends power to the rear wheels. The car is covered in the factory color Grigio Titanio over
Blu Scuro leather. This 575 is also equipped with four-wheel anti-lock brakes, a limited-slip differential, and the Skyhook suspension system. Amenities include power Daytona-style seats, heated mirrors, and rear windows, and the factory stereo. This Ferrari is a well-cared-for and documented example, complete with third-party photos and a recent inspection. The car does have a record of a minor accident in 2007 that just required the repair of the front bumper. Airbags were not deployed. The inspection also shows some paint bubbling on the inside of the lip of the hood and minor chips and scratches on the rear rims. Mechanically the car operates as it was designed, including the Targa folding top. In addition, the timing belt was replaced in 2022. The car comes with an air compressor, battery charger, owners manual, tool kit, and 2 sets of keys.
This Ferrari is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Miami, Florida.
About the model
Introduced in 2005, the Ferrari Superamerica - F1 was the targa-topped version of the 575M Maranello with the F1 automated manual transmission, launched alongside a far less common version with a 6-Speed Manual transmission. The Superamerica featured an electrochromic glass panel roof and a higher-output tune of the V12 engine used on the 575M Maranello. Codenamed the F133 G, the engine was rated at 540 PS (397 kW; 533 hp). Ferrari marketed the Superamerica as the world's fastest convertible car, with a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). A GTC handling package was optional. Total production of the 575M Superamerica amounted to 559, of which 516 units were built with the F1 transmission.
