What’s special about this listing

Details

This 51,295-mile 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is a good example of the rugged SUV. Outfitted with a 4.0L inline six-cylinder engine and a Mercedes-derived six-speed manual transmission, it makes plenty of power and is capable in all terrains. The Rubicon was built with four-wheel-drive, Dana 44 axles, a remote locking differential, and a Roc Trac transfer case that makes this Jeep ready for mountains, mud, or pavement. Four-wheel-disc brakes provide peace of mind in all conditions. The exterior of this TJ series Jeep is painted Patriot Blue with an accommodating black interior. The seats are protected by leather seat covers with gray cloth underneath.

Light chips and scratches on the car's finish are present and referenced in the photos, but the overall appearance is commensurate with the vehicle's mileage. A recent third-party inspection report shows a well-running engine and fully functional transmission. It also revealed that the body seam is damage-free. The engine compartment shows some signs of wear but is in acceptable condition based on mileage. The inspection report also rated the exterior as a 4 out of 5. The interior condition was rated at 4.9 out of 5. The sound system and AC work appropriately.

This Jeep Wrangler is being marketed by a CLASSIC.COM Pro on behalf of its current owner and is located in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

About the model

The 1997 to 2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) was the second generation of the popular American SUV. This generation would feature several variants of the Wrangler, all offering different levels of features. The Wrangler Rubicon was placed below the Unlimited Rubicon and the Unlimited, with more rugged options such as Dana 44 axles. Customers were given an inline four- or six-cylinder engine. In 2002, the three-speed automatic transmission was upgraded to four speeds, and in 2005, the Rubicon offered a six-speed manual transmission. The JK, or third generation, of the Wrangler replaced the TJ generation by 2006.
