About the model

The 1997 to 2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) was the second generation of the popular American SUV. This generation would feature several variants of the Wrangler, all offering different levels of features. The Wrangler Rubicon was placed below the Unlimited Rubicon and the Unlimited, with more rugged options such as Dana 44 axles. Customers were given an inline four- or six-cylinder engine. In 2002, the three-speed automatic transmission was upgraded to four speeds, and in 2005, the Rubicon offered a six-speed manual transmission. The JK, or third generation, of the Wrangler replaced the TJ generation by 2006.
