2006 Ferrari F430 Spider 6-Speed Conversion

The 430 was Maranello's successor to the very popular 360 Modena and continued on with all aluminum construction, and mid-engine V8. There were two body styles available the coupe and spider. The engine grew to 4.3 liters and the horsepower was increased to 483 while the 343ft lbs of torque was available at 5250 rpm. The beauty of the engine was that 80% of the power was available at 3500 rpm giving the 430 great low-end torque. New features of the 430 included an electronic controlled differential, Skyhook active suspension, and a formula one inspired manettino dial on the steering wheel which changes the throttle response, suspension, and traction control. The 430 was the most popular model Ferrari sold at the time and just like the 360 had long waiting lists and pre-owned examples sold at over list prices during the cars early production run.

This particular F430 Spider was built in May of 2006 and sold new by Ferrari of San Diego in June of 2006. The car is finished in the attractive color combo of Grigio Silverstone Metallic over Nero interior and soft top. Factory options include: Power Daytona seats, Cavallino embossed headrests, Leather door sills, Grey stitching throughout the cabin, Carbon Fiber dash trim -console trim- and steering wheel, Carbon Fiber rear grill, Ball-Polished 19-inch wheels, Red brake calipers, Scuderia fender shield emblems, Removable wind stop, Yellow tachometer gauge face, and Alarm. In 2021 well-known service facility EAG of Texas converted the F1 gearbox to a 6-Speed manual (at a cost of $20,000), yes 3 pedals! You must own a gated shifter, rear engine Ferrari at least once in your life so you can experience the very Italian roar of the motor and the clink clink of the shifter going through the gears, there are few cars that can convey such emotion.

Motoring Illusions of CA upgraded the audio system shortly after the car was new with an Alpine Bluetooth head unit, ARC Audio amplifier, and 3 10-inch subwoofers in a custom box mounted behind the seats in matching Nero leather with grey stitching. There is also a front and rear camera system fitted. A 2-Year service and inspection (oil change, brake fluid flush, air filter) was just performed by Veloce Motorsport Service of WA in May 2026 and the tires were replaced in August of 2022 at 28,000 miles by Ferrari of Seattle when they performed a recall update. Sticky buttons were addressed in 2025. Engine mounts were replaced in 2020. Today the car has 29,400 miles and is a great opportunity to acquire a gated manual F430 at around half the price of a factory built manual in today’s market.
