2009 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Coupe

Produced in a strictly limited run of 500 coupés, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione represents one of the defining expressions of modern Italian design and engineering.

First unveiled as a concept in 2003, the production model remained remarkably faithful to the original design study, resulting in one of the most recognisable and celebrated silhouettes of its era. Penned by Wolfgang Egger, the 8C combines lightweight carbon fibre bodywork with a Ferrari-assembled 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine producing approximately 444 horsepower. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed automated manual transmission with paddle-shift control, creating a uniquely engaging driving experience accompanied by one of the most distinctive exhaust notes of the modern era.

Developed as a tribute to Alfa Romeo’s legendary 8C racing cars of the 1930s, the Competizione successfully blended the marque’s rich heritage with contemporary performance and craftsmanship. With production limited to just 500 examples worldwide, the model has become widely regarded as one of Alfa Romeo’s most desirable and collectible modern classics.

This example is finished in the iconic Rosso Competizione and is one of just 70 cars delivered new to Japan. Having covered just over 14,000 kilometres from new, the vehicle benefits from a comprehensive service history from its time in Japan and, following our acquisition, received a full annual service by the authorised Alfa Romeo dealership, Al Tayer Motors.
