In 2021, with just over 100,000 miles, we invested over $36,000 in parts, mechanical restoration, and professional labor into a comprehensive rebuild that included the frame.

The foundation is solid.

The frame was fully replaced with a custom aluminum frame cast by the Toyota factory in Japan. Rear differential and axle housing rebuilt. Suspension rebuilt from scratch with Old Man Emu struts, springs, and shocks, new upper and lower control arms front and rear, new steering knuckles, and a 3-inch lift. Four-corner brake overhaul — new calipers, pads, rotors, and shim kits — plus full brake line replacement. A/C condenser, lines, and recharge. Differential actuator replaced. TRD chrome exhaust.
Exterior Additions.
 Prinsu roof rack, KC 40" LED light bar, KC 6" round auxiliary lights, Morris 4x4 brush guard.

Trail Teams Details.

 Factory Sand Storm tan with black hood, TRD wheels, TRD stamped skid plate, locking rear differential, active traction control, low-range 4WD, rock rails, rear-mounted full-size spare, water-resistant seats, inclinometer/compass display, and backup camera. Dual VVT-i 4.0L V6, 259hp, runs on 87-octane.
