2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GTS

The 2014 Ford Mustang with the Shelby GTS package is a factory-based performance edition modified by Shelby American in Las Vegas, Nevada. The V6-powered version started with Ford's 3.7-liter V6, to which Shelby American added a Borla-designed exhaust system, a buttoned-down suspension, and upsized brakes, plus unique front and rear bumpers. All of those Shelby American modifications helped deliver sharper handling and a snarling exhaust while not having a major impact on the standard Mustang's impressive 30 mpg highway estimate.

Finished in Ruby Red Metallic paired with a black vinyl convertible top and Charcoal Black leather upholstery, this 2014 Mustang was factory-equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission and
limited-slip differential before it was drop-shipped from Ford's Michigan assembly plant to Shelby American for installation of the full GTS kit. The car was acquired new by the seller's father, and it is fitted with a Steeda cold-air intake.

“The V6 Mustang is a particularly good platform for the Shelby GTS,” noted Shelby American vice president of operations Gary Patterson. “It’s even lighter and more nimble than the GT. And the V6 Shelby GTS makes about as much horsepower as the V8 in the Ford Shelby GT, but with better fuel economy at a lower price.”

The second evolution of the Second Generation Ford Shelby Mustang, which is known as the S-197 II, debuted for the 2010 model year. Offered in both coupe and convertible body styles, the S-197 II was powered by a range of V6 and V8 engines. While many variants from the previous S-197 I carried over to the S-197 II such as the GT500 and the GT500 Super Snake, new variants like the GT350, GT500 50th Anniversary Edition Super Snake, and GTS were also introduced. Production of the Second Generation S-197 II Shelby Mustang lasted until 2014, when Ford unveiled the Third Generation Shelby Mustang.
