About the model

The BMW X5 M was a performance-focused variant of the F15 BMW X5 that was introduced for the 2015 model year. Designated as the F85 internally by BMW, this new version of the X5 M featured significant changes and improvements to the standard F15 chassis, leading to the different designation. These cars were powered by a 547hp 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that sent drive to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. Production of the F85 BMW X5 M ended in 2019, but the model series would continue life in the next generation G05 BMW X5.
