Whether you have a brewery and looking for a marketing write off that is sure to be a monumental centerpiece, your looking to always be the life of the party where ever you go or just looking for a incredible work of ART to display in a collection. This Beer Tanker is sure to check all those boxes! The team of custom car builders at Hauk Designs are no strangers to radical custom projects. Over the years they have built truly iconic vehicles that defy categorization. The Hauk crew, led by lead designer Kenny Hauk, completed creation a few years back and it is officially up for sale! This is a one of a kind, functional Rolling Beer Tanker. This rolling piece of art is part Rat Rod, part big rig and all Hauk. The Hauk team entered the Beer Tanker in the 2020 Diesel Rat Rod Build Off and took home the top prize! The entire build and Diesel Rat Rod Build Off Contest can be found here.[website hidden] all started with a 1946 Chevy COE that was found in a barn located in Seneca Pennsylvania. Hauk and his team were hired by a local brewery in Hauk Designs hometown of Chambersburg PA to build a Beer truck to take to local events. We view beer as liquid art. The way that our beer is served should be equally impressive, said Jesse Rotz the Co-Founder of Roy Pitz brewery.Hauk and his team set to work designing a one-of-a-kind Beer Hauler that could hold enough beer to get their entire town tipsy. To house fourteen kegs of beer and the necessary equipment to keep it cold would require a sizable trailer. Hauk located an old three-thousand-gallon diesel fuel tank from the guys at Wit Lane. The tank was really rough. You could tell it had been underground for the last sixty years. The deep rust rings, dents and scaling made it the perfect start to our Rat Rod Beer Tank trailer, said Kenny. The crew spent days cleaning the tank inside and out before fabricating the keg holding area complete with three insulated hatches for easy access and a Micro-Matic glycol cooling system to keep the beer ice cold. The Hauk team then turned their attention to the suspension and drivetrain. Kenny located five junkyard axles for the project that were narrowed, stuffed with Revolution gears and linked to the new frame rails with BDS control arms, JKS track bars, FOX shocks and Rare Parts steering. Next, the entire truck and trailer received a full Ride Tech air ride system for a major altitude adjustment. Now that the stance was right, it was time for power. Hauk called up their friends at Transtar for a brand new crate 5.9 Cummins that was mated to a built CA Conversions Allison transmission for a truly bullet-proof setup. Hauk then decided that this Cummins needed some serious turbo upgrades. He set his lead fabricator Jake Bishop to the task of building a custom compound turbo setup featuring two Turbonetics turbos and lots of MBRP exhaust tubing. To keep everything cool, a Mishimoto radiator and fan were installed in the factory location. Just behind the radiator the factory fuel filter neck was installed, leading to a new Jaz fuel cell and Air Dog fuel pump located just under the cab floor. Wiring expert Jamie Onderdonk tackled the monumental task of wiring this beast with the help of a painless wiring harness and miles of wire. The interior was treated to a set ofTMI industries distressed leather seats and a full set of Auto Meter gauges. The detail overload started with a batch of machined aluminum parts from Mountain Machine, including a massive four foot wide Hauk Machines emblem that was first CNC machined by Kenny's good friend Steve Ortner, founder of Mountain Machine. This piece, along wi [Contact Seller]
