1965 Shelby Daytona Replica Factory Five

This Factory Five Racing Type 65 Gen 3 Coupe was built as a tribute to Shelby Daytona Coupe Chassis #CSX2602 as raced at Le Mans on June 19–20, 1965. Construction began by the owner in January 2018 and was finished in November 2021.

Some History of the Original #59 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe:
Chassis CSX2602 was the fifth Shelby Coupe built. It competed in six 1965 races (Daytona, Sebring, Monza, Spa, Nurburgring and LeMans). When Ford used up their allotment of GT class entries for the 1965 Le Mans race, they asked team owner Georges Filipinetti to adopt a Shelby Coupe from Alan Mann Racing and race it as his team entry. British drivers Peter Sutcliffe and Peter Harper ran CSX2602 with the distinctive red & white Swiss colors for the famous Swiss racing team "Scuderia Filipinetti." The Cobra ran until the 10th hour when the engine failed putting it out of the race. Chassis CSX2602 scored valuable points throughout the season, helping Shelby beat Ferrari for the 1965 FIA World Manufacturers' GT Championship. After Le Mans, the car was returned to Alan Mann Racing; repainted in the Shelby American team colors and never raced again.
