AMC Ambassador - 3rd Gen (1969 to 1973)

The third generation of AMC Ambassador was introduced for the 1969 model year. The 3rd Gen Ambassador was offered in coupe, sedan, and station wagon (Cross Country) body styles, as well as various trim levels. A 232ci or 258ci inline six were the base engines, while various V8s, ranging from 290ci to 401ci in displacement, were optional. Drive was sent to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmission options. Production of the 3rd Gen Ambassador ended in 1973, when it was replaced by the 4th Gen AMC Ambassador.
