The AMC Hurst SC/Rambler was a limited edition performance car based on the Third Generation Rambler American. For the 1969 year, Rambler American cars were named AMC Rambler, as the Rambler name was about to be discontinued. In order to commemorate the end of the Rambler name, AMC and Hurst collaborated to create the SC/Rambler. The SC/Rambler ('SC' short for Super Car), was only available as a two door hardtop, and featured a raft of improvements and upgrades to the suspension, transmission, drivetrain, and body. Most notable was the 6.4L V8 engine that produced 315hp. The AMC Hurst SC/Rambler was a special edition available only for the 1969 model year, with just 1,512 examples produced.
