Audi R8 V10 Plus - Type 42 (2013 to 2015)

The Audi R8 V10 Plus was a variant of the Type 42 Audi R8 that debuted for the 2013 model year and was only available in a coupe body style. The V10 Plus was a focused, performance variant that featured a lower curb weight and improved suspension as some of the improvements over the standard R8. As well as its mechanical improvements, the V10 Plus also featured a bespoke front and rear diffuser, as well as heavy use of carbon fiber trim. These cars were powered by a 542hp 5.2L V10 engine that was paired to a 6 speed manual or 7 speed automatic transmission. Both transmission options sent drive to all four wheels through Audi's Quattro all wheel drive system. Production of the Type 42 Audi R8 V10 Plus ended in 2015 when Audi introduced the next generation Type 4S Audi R8.
