The BMW M235iR, also known as the M235i Racing, was a track-focused variant of the F22 BMW 2 Series. Introduced for the 2015 model year, the M235iR was powered by a modified version of BMW's N55B30O0 engine, which was a turbocharged 3.0L inline six. This engine had an output of 329hp and 332 lb ft of torque which was sent to the rear wheels via an 8 speed automatic transmission. As well as an uprated engine, the M235iR featured massive weight saving measures and a stripped interior, as well as upgraded suspension and an exterior bodykit. BMW offered the M235iR until 2018.
