The BMW 2600 GT is a family of compact sports cars that were introduced for the 1967 model year. The 2600 GT was largely a rebadged version of the Glas V8 that came to be when BMW acquired Glas. These rare coupes were powered by a 2.6L V8 engine which had an output of 148hp. Power was sent to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Only 277 examples of the BMW 2600 GT were built until 1967, when it was replaced by the BMW 3000 GT.
