BMW New Six(1968 to 1977)

In 1968, BMW introduced their new series of full size luxury cars known as the New Six. This series of cars featured various evolutions of BMW's M30 straight six engine and were available as four door sedans or two door grand tourers. The four door New Six was known as the E3 (1968-1977), while the two door tourers were known as the E9 (1968-1975). The New Six cars were the first BMWs to featured two rounded headlights set into the front grille, a styling motif that would become synonymous with BMW design for years to come.
