The BMW 3/15 was the company's first automobile. Introduced in 1927, the BMW 3/15, which was also sold under the name Dixi, was largely an Austin Seven that was built under licence. These rear wheel drive cars were powered by an inline four engine paired to a manual transmission. Production of the BMW 3/15 continued until 1932, when it was replaced by the BMW 3/20.
