Chevrolet Camaro - 3rd Gen(1982 to 1992)

The third generation of Chevrolet Camaro was introduced for the 1982 model year. This latest generation of Camaro saw a wide range of firsts for the model, such as four speed automatics, five speed manuals, fuel injection, and four cylinder engines. A new liftback coupe body style was offered, and starting in 1987, the convertible was reintroduced although it was converted in limited numbers by a third party company. On top of the base model, trims such as the Berlinetta, LT, Sport Coupe, and RS were available over the course of production, but the most notable variants were the performance focused Z/28 and IROC-Z. Production of the third generation Camaro continued until 1992, when it was replaced by the Fourth Generation Chevrolet Camaro.
