Chrysler Imperial - 1st Gen (1926 to 1930)

Chrysler first introduced the Imperial in 1926. The Imperial was created to compete with the top automotive manufacturers at the time, including makes such as Duesenberg, Lincoln, Cadillac, and Packard. Initially fitted with a 4.7L inline six engine, in 1928 the Imperial received a larger and more powerful 5.1L inline six unit. Body styles available included coupe, roadster, sedan, and limousine. Production of the first generation Imperial ended in 1930, when the Second Generation Chrysler Imperial was introduced.
